The MGHS PSA NY Chapter Inc. will once again celebrate Women’s History Month with a Dinner Theatre Fundraiser.

Jamaica New York, February 18, 2019 /JamaicaPressReleases/ -- On Sunday March 10, 2019, MGHS PSA NY Chapter will host an afternoon of entertainment, great door prizes and a scrumptious dinner, plus a chance to impact the lives of students at its beloved alma mater in Jamaica West Indies. Doors open at 3:00 pm, with an exclusive performance of “Demerara Gold,” starring and written by Guyanese playwright Ingrid Griffith. This riveting one-woman show about a young Guyanese girl’s coming of age journey, tells a heart-wrenching immigrant’s tale in spurts of huge euphoria and bewildering sorrow, all in one 90-minute sitting. “It’s a solo show that I had written about the immigrant experience and my true story on coming to America from the point of view of a Caribbean girl,” said Griffith.

Led by president Sharon Wilson, the NY Chapter have successfully gathered talent, sponsors advertisers to make the showcasing of caribbean women in the performing arts sector during Women’s History Month a smashing success! “Our 2019 Women’s History Month Caribbean Dinner Theatre Fundraiser results will be a significant contribution towards our programs and projects as well as providing a memorable afternoon of entertainment for all in attendance” said president Wilson.
