June 22, 2013 promises to be an adrenaline rush for football fans across Jamaica as the coverage of the 2013 FIFA Confederations kicks off on CVM TV. This 9th edition of the Confederations Cup takes place in Brazil, home of the defending champions, but the question buzzing on the lips of football fans everywhere is who will win the coveted title? Will it be Uruguay, Italy or Spain, who will each have the opportunity to become the 3rd team (after Argentina and France) to win all three major FIFA tournaments: World Cup, Olympic football competition and Confederations Cup? All these are burning questions that will leave fans tuned in to every minute of football action.
CVM will carry matches starting June 22, 2013 with football giants, Italy and Brazil in a live face off at 2:00pm and at 10:30pm, when Japan tackles Mexico. Coverage will culminate with the grand finale being aired live from Rio de Janeiro, exclusively on CVM on Sunday, June 30, 2013. The full schedule may be found online at www.cvmtv.com.
In addition to the much anticipated 2014 FIFA World Cup, the FIFA properties also included in CVM’s impressive line-up for 2013 are the Men’s U-20 and U-17 World Cups. CVM holds the exclusive television broadcast rights to the FIFA football programming package from 2007 through to 2014. “We are excited to be kicking off our exclusive broadcast of the 2014 FIFA World Cup with the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup,” states CEO of the CVM Group, Andrew McGlone. “It promises to be two weeks of incredible sports action at CVM with the live football sharing the stage with the JAAA National Trials exclusively brought to you live from the National Stadium. Once again, sports fans will be glued to CVM screens. CVM is proud to be Jamaica’s number one sports station.”
